What we do with your data
Written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
Only what the product needs: the details you type into a CV, your account name and email, the optional job profile described below, and the searches you save. If you're not signed in, CV drafts in the builder stay in your browser's local storage. If you are signed in, your CV is also saved to your account so it follows you across devices — you can delete it at any time. The CV analyzer runs in your browser and does not upload your file.
Your job profile and CV file
After you sign up you can, if you wish, add job-matching details: phone or WhatsApp, country, city, nationality, optional gender and age range, current title, experience, education, skills, languages, the roles and countries you want, employment type, expected salary, notice period and a LinkedIn link, plus an optional CV file (PDF or Word, up to 5 MB). Only your name and email are required. We save these only after you tick the consent box, use them to match you with jobs and to run the service, and keep the CV file private — it is never published on the site. Our team can see these details to operate and support the service. You can edit them on your profile page, and they are deleted with your account.
Email verification and applying
If you sign up with an email and password we send a one-time 6-digit code to confirm the address (accounts created with Google are already confirmed). When you click Apply on a listing from another site we record the click (job, account and time) and then send you to the original employer or job board, whose own privacy policy applies from that point.
Newsletter
If — and only if — you tick the newsletter box when registering, on the profile step or on your profile page, we use your email to send a JobHunter AI newsletter about once a week or every two weeks (new roles and job-search tips). We record when and where you gave that consent. Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can switch it off on your profile page at any time. We do not share or sell the list. Service emails (like verification codes) are separate and are sent regardless.
Contact form
Messages you send through the contact form (your email, the reason and the text) are stored and forwarded to our team so we can reply. To block spam we also check a short-lived form token and apply a per-connection rate limit; we don't use third-party captchas.
What we never do
We never sell your data, never use your CV to train a public model, and never show your profile to an employer unless you opt in to being discoverable.
Job listings
Listings we index from public job boards link out to the original source. We store them only to match and display, and we drop anything older than seven days.
Your rights
Export or delete everything at any time from settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible, and it does not require contacting support.
Cookies
One cookie for your session and one for your language and theme preference. No advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics that follow you across sites.
