Bullets that carry numbers
"Responsible for reporting" says nothing. "Cut month-end reporting from 5 days to 1" says everything.
The before/after test
Take any bullet and ask: what changed because I was here? If nothing measurable changed, rewrite it or cut it.
Weak: "Handled social media accounts." Strong: "Grew Instagram from 4k to 31k in 8 months, driving 12% of online sales."
When you have no numbers
You probably do — count something. Team size, tickets per week, budget handled, clients served, people trained.
If you genuinely can't measure it, describe scope instead: "the only QA on a 14-person team shipping weekly".
Verbs that pull weight
Led, cut, grew, shipped, rebuilt, negotiated, automated, recovered, consolidated.
Avoid: assisted, helped, was involved in, supported, participated in. They hide you.
